Who Will Claim the First TiECon Canada Pitch Fest?

On Friday, November 1, 2013, five high-potential Canadian start-ups will take the TiECon Canada Pitch Fest stage and compete for $50,000 in cash and in-kind entrepreneurial services. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear some of Canada’s most promising entrepreneurs pitch their venture to a panel of leading investors – and TiECon Canada participants.
TiECon Canada Pitch Fest targets Canadian companies seeking seed funding, expertise and business support to accelerate development and time to market. In partnership with Invest Ottawa, BDC and OCE, TiECon Canada solicited applications from start-ups across the country for this inaugural competition. To be eligible, Pitch Fest applicants were required to:
- Be Canadian companies in the start-up phase of development;
- Have sold products or services to at least two customers; and
- Have generated less than $5 million in revenue since inception.
The winning entrepreneur will be awarded $50,000 in cash and mentorship and professional services from leading accelerators and business firms.
TiECon Canada extends special thanks to all start-ups that submitted applications to the Pitch Fest Competition. Our review panel looks forward to reviewing all submissions, and selecting five firms to compete on the TiECon Canada stage. We will notify all applicants of the outcomes of this evaluation process by October 24, 2013.
